This is the idea emerged at the Convention organized in Gela on Friday 4th by the University of Catania, LIPU and DRAFD inside the Life+ Leopoldia Project. The initiative has been very successful thanks to the presence of the delegates of local institutions, the highly qualified lecturers, a group of agriculture technicians and operators and the representatives of trade associations. The Convention has been an opportunity of exchange and engagement of the local technical and business world, which has showed interest in the objectives of Leopoldia Project connected to the protection of biodiversity and to the conversion of agricultural system. Among the participants, there were also students of the Upper School of Agriculture of Mazzarino (CL), whose presence shows the interest of the Educational World in sustainable alternatives to the use of soil. A heterogeneous and curious public that shows a great engagement with these themes.
The Convention has had the task of conveying, through these reports, the active and pragmatic attitude that’s necessary for its success.
