On October 1st 2013 has taken place the Work Station about Agriculture and Biodiversity leading up to the Project Life+ “Leopoldia”. Representatives of the Farmers Associations have been invited, together with Professional Orders, Managers of the Department of Infrastructural Interventions for Agriculture of the Regional Department of Agricultural and Food Resources, particularly the UOS of Comiso – Center for Protected Farming.
During the Meeting, the Natura 2000 Network Sicily and the Ecological Sicilian Network have been presented. Then the role of Agriculture inside these networks has been analyzed.
Finally, the contents of the Project Life+ “Leopoldia” have been described, particularly referring to actions destined to Agriculture.
All the participants have shared the “Leopoldia” Project’s concept focusing on sustainability.
